 The outline of the axe is the foundation of the design in all of my paintings.


The axe was my daily driver living in my van during my first 4 years in the Gunnison Valley with my dog Waylon.

This series uses the axe as the foundation of the design. Layering the outline of the axe creates a labyrinth of recognizable axe parts and pieces that lead the viewer to discover more within the painting.

This series of paintings uses color to divide the space. The outline of the axe creates a more defined and recognizable composition. Creating a more defined surreal landscape.
